Hello! My name is Mrs. Mendoza, and this will be my fourth year teaching at Jahn. I grew up on the southwest side of Chicago in McKinley Park (Go SOX!) and I currently live in the Belmont-Cragin neighborhood with my husband, Chris, 4-month son Ezekiel and dog Bailey. I received both my Bachelor's and Master’s degree from the University of Chicago. I love to learn and am constantly attending workshops and taking new classes. I recently received my certification to teach Algebra in middle school. A few fun facts about myself: I’m the youngest of four children, I have 7 nieces and nephews, and I love to use my blender to freezer cook! I love to run and spend as much time by Lake Michigan as possible. I've run three half-marathons in the past and ran the Chicago Marathon in 2016. I’m so excited to return from maternity leave this year and to be teaching math again this year. I’m looking forward to building stronger relationships with students and parents! Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns! My goal is to make each child feel confident and successful in their math abilities this year. I look forward to a fabulous school year!
