Jahn has a Parent Advisory Council (PAC) that exists to provide parents/legal guardians, teachers/staff, and concerned community individuals with the opportunity to work with our principal in the planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of the No Child Left Behind, Title I parent funds given to the school each year.
The PAC serves as an advisory group by providing input on future Title I programs. The PAC identifies topics of interest to Jahn parents and sponsors evening workshops to help inform and educate parents regarding these issues. Parents should provide suggested topics they are interested in learning more about at or before the 2016 / 2017 Organizational Meeting on September 20, 2016 or at any time throughout the year.
The PAC also supports a Parent Resource Room located at the bottom of the front stairway leading to the Pre-K classrooms. This room is in development but currently offers parents access to 2 personal computers and a limited library of printed resources to help parents help their children. Parents can offer suggestions for topics they feel are important to themselves and / or other parents and the PAC will search for resources that will satisfy these needs.
The PAC facilitator is Ms. Kimberly Mendoza.
Meeting dates are typically the 1st Tuesday of each month at 8:15 am in the Jahn Parent Room.
