Patrick Pac

I was born and raised in Chicago.  My family is from Quezaltenango, Guatemala in a town called Xela. I am proud to be part of the Jahn Elementary team this year. I got my career started by attending North Park University where I received my B.A. in physical education and my Masters in teaching. The purpose of physical education is give students the confidence, competence, and knowledge in all areas related to physical activity and provide students with a wide variety of experiences related to teams sports, exercise, recreational activities, aquatics, dance, and individual and dual sports. I believe that active kids learn better. I will strive everyday to teach my students the fundamentals of every unit I teach, so that students have the tools to partake in the experience of their choosing outside of school. I believe in the power of teamwork, sportsmanship, self-efficacy and teaching the whole student. I want to make sure that I teach students skills related to the physical domain while also focusing on student understanding of all things related to physical education and supporting students social-emotionally.

My favorite sport is baseball and I love the Cubs. A tradition that my fiancé and I have is to go to at least one Cubs game every year. I love spending time with my fiancé and I enjoy watching movies with her, weight lifting, riding my bike, woodworking, and pretty much anything that will get me physically active.

I believe in the power that teachers have to influence children positively. I cant wait to create many fun and happy memories this year with them and I look forward to working with your child as we grow together and foster a love of physical activity.
