University of Santos Tomas, Manila Philippines
My name is Charlotte Eunice Ranay and I am ecstatic to be part of the Jahn Community this year as a Special Education teacher!
I was born and raised in the Philippines. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Speech - Language Pathology at the University of Santo Tomas and I have been working with children with special needs as a Speech - Language Pathologist for four years. I have provided SLP services to patients across the lifespan with varied speech, language, and/or swallowing concerns in clinical, hospital, and school settings but teaching kids is just my passion! Working with the children and their families and being able to witness them reach their goals and their milestones are fulfillments that touch the heart like no other! I also believe that in further education, I am able to render competent services. I have taken non-degree programs in Language at the University of the Philippines, undergone trainings from Auditory -Verbal Therapists for children with hearing impairment, and undergone PROMPT certification to cater to the needs of children with motor planning issues. I also went to missions in far-flung areas in the Philippines to give free evaluations and home programs to children and their families as I firmly believe that everyone should have access to and be armored with education. As Nelson Mandela once said, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."
When I am not working, I love spending quality time with my family - cooking for them, travelling with them, or just simply watching late night TV shows with them!
Again, welcome and it is a pleasure to work with your child this year. I, together with the Jahn Team, cannot wait to a year of fun, challenges, and learnings with you and your child!
