Jeffrey Gillespie, who’s strong aspiration to become a teacher stemmed from the days when he himself was a grade school student. He is known for his enthusiasm and dedication to early childhood education and ensuring that his students’ earliest exposure to education is an enriching and enjoyable one. After graduating from DePaul with a degree in Early Childhood Education, he worked in several pre-schools in the City, Ray School in Hyde Park, and Burr School in Bucktown while simultaneously pursuing and obtaining his Master’s in Early Childhood from The Erikson Institute, one of the nation’s premier graduate schools in child development. Jeff is also proudly a National Board Certified Teacher and certified in ESL.

Teaching since 2000, Jeff appreciates every aspect of his daily teaching activities and admires the involvement of family and community in nurturing the youngest students.

When he’s not teaching, he loves spending time with his wife and two middle school aged children and is an admitted avid, maybe even rabid, Chicago Bears fan who also likes reading, attending movies, archery, and 3D printing.
