In the Fall of 2018, Jahn partnered with Project AIM (Arts Integration Mentorship) to bring an arts integration into our classrooms. Project AIM was created to explore the relationships between arts and academic learning, with the intention of creating opportunities for deeper, more meaningful, and more personally-relevant learning experiences in the classroom. Columbia College teaching artists and K-12 classroom teachers partner to design and deliver original, arts-integrated curriculum over a 12-session residency. Jahn is excited see the AIM residency in action with our 7th graders lead by Ms. Wray’s English Language Arts class in collaboration with visual artist, Sun Yun.
Jahn School of Fine Arts is excited to host the Project AIM’s Annual Curriculum Share on Thursday, May 17th, from 5 – 7 PM. Together Teachers & Project AIM Artists will gather to celebrate the close of a school year and view AIM residency work from across the Chicago and Evanston school districts. Please join us for an evening of arts presentations from all residencies, a selected presentation from Jahn’s Ms. Wray and Sun Yun and other artists, documentation & art, and dinner!
The Curriculum Share is a fantastic opportunity to see the variety of compelling arts integration programs that happen every year with Project AIM.
