We had a great first week of school! Thank you for getting your child to school every day on time.
Back to School Night is September 22rd from 5:30 – 6:30pm. Mr. Herring will begin with a short presentation in the auditorium at 5:30pm, then families will move to the homerooms to hear about the curriculum and instruction.
FOJ's first Parents' Night Out is coming up on 9/14 at Riverview Tavern from 7-10pm. All current and prospective parents are welcome! 15% of all purchases go back to the school. Please contact Kelly Vincent with any questions at [email protected].
Save the date for our annual Pumpkin Patch fundraiser. The event will be October 15th.
Each homeroom needs room representative parents. If interested, please let your teacher know by September 22nd. There will be a room parent meeting on September 27th at 6pm.
Student fees are $50 per student and can be paid in the main office with Margo. The money is used to purchase student instructional materials. Student fees are due October 3rd.
Please save Box Tops and turn them in to the main office! The money raised will be used for student materials.
We still have open spots in our after school program with the YMCA. Applications are available in the main office. Our after school programming with the YMCA provides a safe place for students to interact with friends, complete homework, social games, physical activities, and arts. The program is run on the Jahn campus and goes from 3-6pm. To register, contact the YMCA at 773-248-3333. Applications are also available in the main office. Our attendance goal for this year is 96%. We will have weekly and monthly incentives for students who come to school everyday, including iPads, tablets, gift cards, and other prizes.
