We invite you to join parents and families as we listen to Dr. Ursula Ricketts’ experience in public education, and how she changed the landscape for students and families of color in her school community. 

While there is no guidebook to parent empowerment, we encourage you to engage in conversation about one mother’s journey in navigating the inequities of education as a parent of color. 

Dr. Ursula Ricketts was a CPS teacher who started Payton Parents of Color. Engage with us as we learn, discuss and ask questions.
