Principal Message - June 5th

The final week of the school year has arrived.  With this, I am pleased to report that we have indeed had a fabulous school year.  When I reflect on the successes across the building, I have to speak on our arts programming (FAW Fest and Spring Showcase), field trips, the increase in student voice, the semi-departmentalization of our 4th and 5th grades, our middle school Legacy trips, and the many supports from all of our parent organizations, we truly have a lot to celebrate.

Volunteers Needed for Farmers Market at Jahn

Starting this Sunday, June 11th, the Jahn playlot will be home to the Roscoe Village Farmers Market again! Jahn will have a table most weeks offering family-friendly activities that will need to be staffed by volunteers. Please consider signing up! Supplies will be provided.

More Jahn Summer Programs!

This summer, Jahn will also be hosting Preview to PreK from 7/24-8/4 and Kick-Off To Kindergarten from 6/27-7/28 at no cost to families. Both programs are open to those who have completed application packages.

2022-23 Yearbooks Are Here

Yearbooks delivered to the school last week and went home with students who pre-ordered. Please contact Ms. Margo if you ordered one and did not receive it. There may be extras in the main office if you would like to inquire about purchasing one for a suggested $20 cash or check made out to Friends of Jahn.

Greetings Jahn Families and Community!

It is with great pleasure that I write to you as a committed member of this great institution of learning. As the newly selected principal of Jahn School of Fine Arts, I look forward to working with you throughout the coming school year. I am extremely excited to be a part of the Husky family and look forward to the continuance of great work on Wolcott Street.

I am honored to lead this work alongside you, and I am confident we will accomplish amazing feats during this school year. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions you might have around things happening at Jahn. Here’s to the start of our powerful partnership.

Empowering Creative Thinkers

Our students are the center and soul of our school. At Jahn, we strive to empower them to be lifelong learners and use the arts as communication, creative personal realization, connectors of culture and history, a means to wellbeing, and community engagement.
