After a lengthy process of gathering input and information from across the community, the LSC met Wednesday, March 16, in a special session to vote on renewing Principal Herring’s contract. The motion to renew did not receive a majority of votes, which means that Principal Herring’s current contract will expire in August. We want to thank Principal Herring for his many years of service to our school. We are grateful for his leadership, dedication and hard work over the last nine years. We look forward to supporting him in planning a strong finish to the school year. We are also excited to work with the community and our talented teachers and staff to write the next chapter for Jahn. We’ll be reaching out to families in the coming weeks as we learn more about the principal selection process, so please watch this space!
