Day of (No) Silence

On Friday, April 12th, the Jahn Pride Alliance is hosting our first Day of (No) Silence, a nationwide student-led action where students in grades 6-8 are invited to take a vow of silence for a day to bring attention to the name-calling, bullying and harassment experienced by LGBTQ+ youth in school. The day will end with a "break the silence" rally with a surprise guest speaker!

Students will be provided with writing materials so that they can still engage in class, should they choose to participate. Middle-school teachers will be aware of this demonstration in advance. We hope for this day of action to bring ALL members our Jahn family together in love, acceptance and solidarity!

We would also love some hands-on support on the day of the event. Please sign up here for a volunteer shift. Volunteers must be registered as at least Level 2.
