Principal Message - June 4th

Greetings Husky Families

Our final week of the school year has arrived!

Can you say “Time Really Flies” ten times fast?

Yes, our school year is quickly coming to a close.  It has been a pleasure being a part of the Jahn family for another year.  I am very excited about what I have witnessed and the things to come.  As a school, we continue to find ways to meet the needs of the whole child, while providing an engaging and challenging environment.  I will only say that I look forward to providing your students with much more in the coming year.

By the time this week ends, your child will have experienced our Field day, School-wide awards assembly, as well as closing memories with their classmates.

When your child(ren) comes home with report cards on Thursday, they will also have their end-of-the-year results from the I-ready (grades K-2nd) or Star360 (grades 3rd-8th) assessment.  The results will be in a sealed envelope for parents to review.  Please know that the results serve as a tool to guide instruction.  Overall, I am proud of the progress we continue to make as a school.

Before you know it, you will be thinking about school supplies.  Supply lists for all grade levels will be available during the week of June 17th.  Please check our website for that information.

Summer programming will begin at various times this summer.  Those scheduled to attend have already received information.

Our Back to School Bash will be on Thursday, August 22nd at 1:30 p.m.

School is back in session for students on Monday, August 26th.

As we prepare for the school year, please mark your calendars for a couple of dates already set.  We look forward to seeing you at these events:
  • Monday, September 9th - Open House - 4 p.m.
  • Tuesday, October 8th - Literacy and Math Night - 4 pm
  • Tuesday, April 8th - STEAM Night - 4 pm
On a final note, thank you for entrusting Jahn with your children.  It has been a pleasure seeing them daily.  Aside from the summer programming happening, it will be pretty lonely around here.  I can not wait for their return in the Fall.  Thank you for all that you do to support Jahn.

Until then, have a safe and wonderful summer.
