Greetings Husky Families
Week 5 has arrived!!! We are halfway through the 1st quarter. Time is truly flying. By the end of this week, students will receive progress reports (reports go home with students in grades 1st-8th on Thursday). This will be your opportunity to see how your child(ren) is embracing their return to school. I would encourage you to take time to reflect with your child(ren) around their experience thus far. What are areas that they feel great about? Are there areas they want to improve? Do they feel like they have all the necessary tools in place to be successful? Conversations around learning and the school experience are valuable. If there is anything we can do on our end, please seek out our staff for guidance.
Many thanks to each and every one of you for your support during last week’s Husky Hustle. As you may have heard, we reached our goal. This means “Bucket the Principal/AP” will take place Thursday starting at 1 pm. We look forward to seeing you during this wonderful and wet experience.
On a final note, Chicago Public Schools annually collects data on the fine and performing arts programming through self-assessments specific to schools. Below is a link for a voluntary and anonymous survey that should not take more than 10 minutes of your time. If you’d like to participate, please plan to complete the survey no later than October 4. You can find the survey linked here.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions. Thank you in advance for helping us to make Jahn School the best it can be!
As a reminder, this Friday is a professional learning day for staff. This will be a non-attendance day for students.
Have an amazing week.
