Principal Message - April 14th

Greetings Husky Families

Although we are officially in the Spring season, the weather can sometimes make us wonder.  Thank goodness that our recess team was able to get our scholars outside most days this past week.

While this upcoming week is short, we encourage you to support the events happening:

Skyline Theater Final Showcases:   Our 4th and 5th graders have been excitedly preparing for their Skyline Theater showcases.  Parents of the students in these grades, as well as students from some of our other grade levels, will have the opportunity to witness the performances on Wednesday morning.

8th Grade Fundraiser:  Please join us at ClimbZone on Thursday, April 17th for our 8th graders’ final fundraiser before their legacy trip to New York City.  This event will be from 4 to 7 pm.  Additional details are available on our website.

No School (Friday, April 18th):   There will be no school for students on Friday, April 18th as this is a professional learning day for staff.

Earth Day Art Show (Tuesday, April 22nd):  We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming Earth Day Art Show.  This event will provide you with the opportunity to see artwork across the building while enjoying student-led Earth Day activities.  We are looking for volunteers to help hang artwork for this event.  Please sign up for a time to help here.

Nominations Now Open for Crossing Guard of the Year Award:  Monday, April 14th is the last day to nominate our crossing Guard, Mr. Michael Watson, as your favorite crossing guard for the District's Crossing Guard of the Year Award.   Use this form to nominate him.  Students, staff, school leaders, parents, and other community members are all welcome to submit a nomination.  The form will be open until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 14th, and the winners will be determined and acknowledged on Monday, May 19th, and announced during the Crossing Guard Rally.  If you have any questions, please email [email protected]

There are a number of events happening on campus during the month.  Please check out our monthly calendar for details.

Have an amazing week.
