Do your students love solving puzzles, cracking codes, and uncovering hidden clues? In this exciting and imaginative summer program, students in grades 3–8 will become junior detectives, creative storytellers, and expert problem solvers. Future Problem Solvers: Mystery Club is designed to spark curiosity and build confidence through collaborative mystery-solving and original mystery creation.
What Students Will Do:
🔎 Solve Intriguing Mysteries Each day, students will dive into age-appropriate mysteries filled with twists and turns. They'll examine evidence, decode hidden messages, identify suspects, and use logic and teamwork to crack the case.
🧠 Sharpen Critical Thinking Skills As students work through each challenge, they’ll develop reasoning, deduction, and inference skills—all essential tools for both academic success and real-world problem solving.
✍️ Create Their Own Mysteries Using their imaginations, students will build their own mystery stories from the ground up—developing characters, writing clues, planting red herrings, and guiding their peers through original cases they’ve designed.
🎭 Bring Mysteries to Life Through roleplay, dramatic readings, and group performances, students will bring their mysteries off the page and into the classroom—enhancing public speaking, collaboration, and confidence.
📓 Keep a Detective Journal Students will track cases, jot down clues, sketch suspects, and reflect on their problem-solving approaches—building a personal record of their journey from puzzle-solver to puzzle-creator.
🤝 Collaborate and Compete From cooperative clue hunts to timed logic challenges, students will participate in team-based activities that promote communication, leadership, and friendly competition.
By the end of the program, students will have strengthened their logic and literacy skills, learned the value of teamwork, and created something truly their own—a mystery that challenges others to think just as critically as they have. Whether your student is a budding author, a puzzle fanatic, or just loves a good mystery, this club will keep their minds active and engaged all summer long.
