Dear Jahn School Community,
Welcome back to a new school year! As we kick off the first week, we want to keep you informed and engaged in the important process of selecting the next principal of Jahn School of Fine Arts.
This has been a very busy and productive week for the Principal Selection Committee.
Round 2 Interviews: The committee completed the second round of interviews with candidates on Monday and Tuesday of last week.
Finalists Selected: Three finalists were selected to move forward in the process. A 1-sheet summary provided by each candidate can be accessed via the following links:
Community Forum: A community forum was held on Thursday, August 14th, to welcome the three finalists. A video of the forum is available here, and translated audio in Spanish is available here.
We encourage all Jahn families and community members to watch the video of the forum and provide their valuable feedback via this feedback form. The feedback form is open until the end of the day on Monday, August 18th.
Here are the next steps in the process:
- Site Visits: The finalists will participate in separate site visits to the school this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
- Meeting and Final Selection: The Local School Council is tentatively planning a special meeting for this week to review the community forum feedback and site visits, with a potential final vote to select the new principal.
