Dearest Jahn Community,
There are some families at Jahn, along with our Jahn Sanctuary Team, that are working together for the safety and well-being of our community. In particular, we appreciate the hard work of our school’s parent volunteers for starting to organize so many of the following supports these past few weeks. Please reach out to ELPT Helen Toledo ([email protected]) and our parent-led group, Jahn United, at [email protected] if you're looking to connect or are in need of support for any of the following:
- Morning & Dismissal Presence: Parent volunteers can mobilize at key intersections to be vigilant while providing a visible display of solidarity during arrival and dismissal.
- Jahn Pathways: Families in need of safe accompaniment for their children to and from school can be connected with a volunteer family for this purpose.
- Jahn Solidarity Fund: Funds are available to directly assist families who are suffering a loss of income or employment as a result of recent events. All funds are collected and managed by volunteers within the community.
Jahn Sanctuary team: Jahn staff have expanded their Sanctuary Team to coordinate support for students and families in need, and collaborate with families who wish to get more involved.
