Hello Jahn,
I can’t believe it is almost December!
As a reminder next week is fall break- our school will be closed the week of November 24th and classes will resume on Monday, December 1st. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I want you to know how grateful I am to be a part of the Jahn community. It is such a privilege to be a part of such a supportive community, and to be a part of you and your children’s lives.
Progress reports were sent home with students Friday, November 14th. Please reach out to your child’s teacher with any questions or concerns about grades.
Updated Inclement Weather Morning Routines:
8:00-8:15 an OPEN flag would be hung by Jahn staff on Door #1 and our PreK Fletcher Door when we will open at 8:15 due to inclement weather.
8:15 Door 1 would open for K-8th grade students to enter the auditorium.
8:15 Fletcher Doors would open for PreK parents and students only to enter early. Parents would be responsible for waiting at student lockers/ hallways with their child until hand off of their child to the appropriate classroom teachers and staff. Because of this, we encourage PreK student drop off to remain as close to the assigned start time as possible.
PreK Teachers and staff will begin receiving PreK classes at 8:30 and 8:35 at the Fletcher doors. Their safe entry and handoff will take precedence during that time so that all children are accounted for and safe. No additional parents and children will be allowed in during the regularly scheduled entrance time. Thank you for understanding and helping us keep everyone safe and our mornings orderly for all.
Happy PSRP Day! On Wednesday November 19th be sure to give Jahn SECAs, TAs, Security Staff and Office Administrators a high five for all they do for our school and students. Jahn would not be the safe place it is without each of them every day. THANK YOU!
Let’s make it a great week,
Dr. Byrne
