Principal Message - December 8th

Hello Jahn Families,

I hope you all are staying safe and warm. There is always a lot going on in the weeks leading up to Winter Break, and I appreciate each of you for remaining consistent with attendance and out of school routines so your children are healthy and ready to learn while in school.

Congratulations to the Jahn Robotics Team for advancing to the next round of their tournament! This is a parent run and organized team, and we are so grateful to the dedication of so many volunteers that have created this opportunity for our students.

We have a Shelter in Place Drill occurring on 12/11 at 9:00am for our entire school. To shelter-in-place means to take shelter where you are and isolate the inside environment from the outside environment. Shelter-in-Place procedures are used when the building is seen as a place of safety and building occupants must remain in a school building for extended periods of time during an event such as a weather emergency. Schools complete these types of drills in accordance with CPS policies and timelines throughout the year. If you have any questions, please reach out to me directly.

Jahn is extremely excited for our next Husky Helpers day on Friday! Thank you in advance to everyone who is spending time with us. It means the world to our school community.

Let’s make it a great week,
Dr. Byrne
