Principal Message - January 6th

Happy New Year Jahn Families,

I hope you had a beautiful and safe winter break with all of your loved ones. I missed everyone so much!

Jahn students were a little sleepy this morning, but it was great to see them and our teachers back in action today. By 10:00 this morning, I had already participated in a conversation about problem solving with peers, learned about owl pellets and discussed how we were coming together to celebrate our middle schoolers. It has been great being back in action!

As a reminder- report cards will be sent home with students on Friday, January 9th. If you have any questions about grades and progress, please do not hesitate to reach out directly with your child's teacher for a conference.

Additionally, all 3-8th grade students will be completing the Star360 test and our K-2 students i-Ready. The window is between 1/12/26-2/6/26. These are important tests that show growth in both reading and math, and are aligned to grade level standards. 3-8th graders will complete a goal setting activity with their teachers ahead of taking Star360 so they can reflect on their growth and set goals for themselves. Please look out for this communication from your child’s teacher.

Excited for the second half of the year with all of you,
Dr. Byrne
