Throughout this residency, students will engage in a creative process that combines theatrical skill-building and collaborative storytelling. Each day, students will participate in social-emotional learning activities, theater games, vocal exercises, movement exploration, and script analysis. Students will work together to reimagine and create their own version of Finding Nemo Jr., allowing them to take ownership of the creative process while learning fundamental theater concepts.
The program will culminate in a final showcase on Wednesday, January 28th, for 5th-grade (9:15 am) and 4th-grade (10:15 am) families, featuring selected songs, dances, and student-created scenes that have been rehearsed throughout the residency. Students will present their adaptation of Finding Nemo Jr., featuring original elements they've devised as an ensemble.
