Principal Message - January 20th

Hello Jahn Community,

This cold is serious, and it looks like it is going to get even colder. Please be careful coming to and from school.

I hope you were able to spend time with your families reflecting on the practices and beliefs of Martin Luther King this past weekend. There are many lessons for us to relearn from his teachings, and it is more important than ever that we spend time with our young people talking about his legacy.

Talent Show auditions have been such a treat! I am so grateful to all students and staff for practicing and being open to sharing their talents with our community. The community performance is on Friday, January 30th at 5:00. This is when all families are welcome to come see the performance.

With a devastating Bears defeat this past weekend, I am especially looking forward to the Winter Wonderland at Jahn on February 7th. Big thanks as always to our outstanding FOJ for planning so thoughtfully for this event, and can’t wait to see you all and have some fun.

I am looking for some feedback from parents of students who are part of the before and or after care with our YMCA. Please take a moment to fill out this survey to share feedback.

Let’s make it a great week,
Dr. Byrne
