Hello Jahn Community,
Happy Arts Education Week! Jahn Fine Arts brings this week and these values to life. Ms. Lynch and Ms. Esquivel, with the help of the Jahn Arts Council, ensure that our school has high quality arts education built into each day. I am so proud to be a part of a community with these strong values.
Husky Hustle is on deck for FRIDAY! What a fun way to get moving, and spend time with our community. Let friends and family know you’re participating! Create your student's Personal Fundraiser Page and ask for support by visiting the link https://fundraise.givesmart.com/vf/HuskyHustle2026. Share it on social media, text it to the grandparents, have your kids call their fun aunt and ask them to support our school. I have an inflatable costume that I am dying to sport on the playlot, so admittedly I have an ulterior motive behind the fundraising push. It is just so much fun, all of it! Thank you to all of our amazing and hardworking volunteers and the Friends of Jahn for getting this up and running so early in the school year.
Progress reports for Quarter 1 will be sent home on September 24th. This is the first temperature check of how your child has started off a new year with new and more difficult standards. Additionally, each child has taken their respective beginning of year benchmark assessment that helps us monitor growth and progress towards grade level proficiency. This information is essential to creating plans and working with teachers and staff to make sure your child is meeting their growth goals for the year. If you have questions about anything, your teachers are here to help!
Open House was a huge success. Thank you all for taking the time to come. I enjoyed seeing you and watching your kids show off our school to you. Our community is so unique, and I hope you were able to get a feel for the support and care that makes it so special.
Let’s make it a great week,
Dr. Byrne
