Education is a key that can open doors to worlds that a child never dreamed existed. Each time I embarked on a new educational journey, I have faced obstacles but also gained a wealth of knowledge and options that transformed my thinking and changed my life's course. This is what I want for all children: a wealth of choices to achieve their best lives. As an educator, I understand that one of the key components of success is a solid educational foundation. An academic foundation gives children or anyone the ability to choose their personal and professional goals. In George Orwell's 1984, the character Smith said, "Real freedom is the ability to say 2+2=5." This is what a good education provides: choices and freedom.

In my golden moments of downtime, I am an avid “foodie.” I love going out to eat with family and friends. I also enjoy traveling and reading. Someday, I hope to visit my favorite destinations: Australia and Bora–Bora.
