Principal Message - January 8th Happy New Year!!! Welcome to the second half of the 2023-24 school year at Jahn School of Fine Arts. I am excited for the two remaining quarters. What you will see are more opportunities for you to be on campus, as well as lots of student-led activities. The remainder of this school year has our entire school community in mind and is student-focused.
Out-of-School Time (OST) spring applications coming soon The Fall Session 2023 after school programs by Jahn staff ended on December 21st. We are planning to begin our spring term the week of January 29th. Please be on the lookout for applications coming home one day next week with new program offerings!
2nd Annual Winter Wonderland - Feb 3rd Save the date for the 2nd Annual Winter Wonderland on Saturday, February 3rd from 10am-2pm. Our school community and surrounding neighbors get a chance to escape the cold and see Jahn transformed for this event open to the public!
School Tours Our monthly school tours are back with the next one being tomorrow January 9th! Prospective families are welcome to walk the hallways with Dr. Kimbrough on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 9:00am. Come see what Jahn's about! We encourage our current preschool families to check out what's happening with our K-8 students as well.
Principal Message - December 18th As we enter the final week of the first half of our school year, I would like to take a moment to say thank you. Lots of great things happened on campus during our first two quarters of this school year. Each great thing that happened, stems from our dedicated staff and students, plus the support of each and every one of you.
Multicultural Games Night - This Thursday! Play games from around the world this Thursday, December 21st from 3-4pm for Multicultural Games Night. Bring a traditional game from your country or simple come play with us. Bring your friends and family!
Teacher's Lounge Makeover Friends of Jahn refreshed the teacher's lounge. The team sanded and sealed the molding, painted the walls, bought all new furniture, and added a new fridge, water filter/cooler, coffee maker and more.
Principal Message - December 11th Although the countdown to Winter Break has begun, we still have a little less than two weeks of school remaining, which means our instruction continues. Yes, there will be a number of reasons to celebrate the completion of two quarters of learning, but we also want to assure you that we are embracing this month’s SEL theme of dedication. We are dedicated to providing our students with the best.
Congrats to our Rad Robots! The Jahn Robotics team is headed to sectionals! The Rad Robots competed in their first FIRST Lego League Competition this weekend, finishing 4th in the Robot Game, 1st in the Innovation Project, and earning the chance to compete at Sectionals in January. Check out the team!
