Our first big fundraiser of the school year, Husky Hustle, is on Friday, September 19th. Let's start things off with a bang! Check out the event details below.
HUSKY HUSTLE 2025
WHO: ALL students will be joining in on the fun. Our recess coordinators, Coach Crystal and the Urban Initiatives team, will run this school day event with the help of Friends of Jahn.

We have some fun school-wide prizes planned for each milestone goal:
- $5,000 - Husky Hallway Parade
- $8,000 - Extra Recess!
- $12,000 - Class Movie and Popcorn
- $15,000 - Principal and Staff Inflatable Costume Race!
Additionally, the FIRST 100 students to create a fundraising page and raise at least $25 will get a free kids scoop from Jeni's Ice Creams.
WHAT: Husky Hustle is our annual fitness fundraiser and fun for all. Students will have the opportunity to get outside for almost a full hour with their class to complete fitness challenges, “Race the Bases” against staff and volunteers, and eat lunch together - all while raising money for our school. Every student will receive a medal to take home for participating!
Hero the Husky's friend, Hamburger, will visit classrooms over the next few days to get kids excited!
WHEN: Parents and guardians are welcome to come watch, but must stay outside the school gates, or you can Sign Up to help with a shift. To volunteer, you must be registered as at least a Level II Volunteer with CPS.

- Homerooms 001, 102, 103, 104 - 1:15-2:10 PM
- Homeroom 101 (PM) - 2:20-2:50 PM
Grades K-8
- K-2 Homerooms 108, 109, 207, 208, 209 - 9:45-10:45 AM
- 3-5 Homerooms 202, 204, 203 - 10:55-11:55 AM
- 6-8 Homerooms 301, 302, 305 - 12:05-1:05 PM
WHERE: Jahn playlot
WHY: We are raising money for our school while having fun together. Everyone gets to participate! Funds raised from the event could help cover programs not covered in our school budget, such as new books for the library, field trips, and teacher and classroom supplies.
