Join us Friday, June 2nd after school on the Jahn playlot to kickoff the beginning of Pride Month. There will be games, art activities, karaoke, a photo booth and more!

It's preschool's turn for their "Young Hollywood Red Carpet Dance" on Friday, May 5th. Students are asked to come dressed to impress as themselves or their favorite Hollywood actor or actress. Volunteer to help!

In March, Jahn received a large donation of books from Young, Black & Lit - a local nonprofit organization committed to increasing access to children’s books that center, reflect, and affirm the experiences of Black children. Ms. Chambers helped distribute them to classroom libraries. See our students enjoying them!

The window for preschool applications for the 2023-24 school year opens April 11th through May 2nd. We would love to have your child join our Jahn family!

As we enter the last week of April, we also welcome the 5th week of our final quarter for the 2022-23 school year. Time has really flown by. Our 5th week of school for this quarter also marks progress reports. Progress reports go home with students this Friday. I am excited to see how well our students are doing this quarter.

It's that time of year! We will only be accepting pre-orders, so don't miss out and order this school year's book now through THIS Wednesday, April 26th.

The Parent Advisory Council (PAC) invites you to our Family Literacy Event THIS Friday, April 28th from 3:15-4:15pm in the large cafeteria. Play games and activities with Jahn teachers as well as special guests like the Chicago Public Library Lincoln Belmont Branch. There will be great raffle prizes too!

It’s another great week at Jahn School of Fine Arts.  As we continue to usher in the everchanging weather that comes with the month of April, I am excited to build on and grow into our SEL theme for the month, Self Care.  Last week, I shared with you a number of resources to assist in implementing this theme.  For the remainder of the month, I will share with our student body a self care tip.  Today’s tip focused on finding “quiet time.”
