This month, Jahn was lucky enough to receive a large donation of books from Young, Black & Lit! They are a great nonprofit organization committed to increasing access to children's books that center, reflect, and affirm Black children.

It’s here! Our week-long Online Auction is OPEN for bidding at www.ourschool.support/jahn. The auction will close on Friday, March 4th at 10:00pm. Let’s raise some money for Jahn!

This Thursday, March 3rd, we will come together to celebrate a fun week with virtual BINGO at 6:00pm. Everyone is invited to this FREE event. Teachers and staff will take part, there will be prizes for winners, and student artwork will be showcased. You really want to be there!

Are you interested in serving in our LSC? We need you on our LSC!
Serving on a Local School Council provides an opportunity for many different stakeholders to inform school policies. Parents, community members, educators, and students in grades 6-8th all have a unique opportunity to serve on LSCs, and we need your help to ensure these positions are filled.

Pre-k to 5th-grade students showcase their Lunar New Year art projects!

Dear Jahn Families,




Chicago Public Schools is requiring all families to submit a COVID19 Attestation Form to verify your understanding of CPS health and safety protocols.  Look for a paper version of the form in your child’s backpack and return to your homeroom teacher by Friday, February 11th.




On February 14th, K-4 homeroom teachers will be allowed to host a short friendship party to allow students to exchange messages.  Students are not allowed to bring candy or sweets to school.  If students would like to bring something, it should be non-edible treats like pencils, etc.  Students in grades 5-8 will have a friendship dance on Friday, February 11th from 2-3 in the gymnasium.  This event will be organized by our Student Council.
